Allen Cunningham was born in Riverside, California in 1977 and now lives in Marina Del Rey, California. Allen began playing poker with his family when he was young and realized soon enough that they weren't a big challenge for him, so he set his sites on playing in Las Vegas. Cunningham claims that unlike most players who get hooked on poker by starting out with a winning streak, he began his career loosing - which only made him try harder until eventually succeeding. In 1999 Cunningham finally started his overdue hot streak, winning six major tournaments and capturing the title of "Best All-Around Player" at the Legends of Poker.
At age 27, Allen Cunningham has already cashed in 13 WSOP events and 6 WPT events. Some of Allen's other tournament finishes include 2nd place in the 2003 WPT Bellagio Five-Diamond World Poker Classic worth $131,575 and 1st place in the 2004 WPT Bellagio Five-Star World Poker Classic worth $111,494. Allen has won three WSOP gold bracelets for 1st place finishes in Seven Card Stud (2001), Deuce to Seven No Limit (2002), and most recently the $1,500 No Limit Hold 'em event at the 2005 WSOP which had an amazing 2,305 entrants.
Recently, Allen finished 4th in the Main Event of the 2006 WSOP, outlasting an astonishing 8,769 opponents and collecting $3,628,513.
