Chip Jett was born in Scottsdale, Arizona on September 22nd, 1974 and
now resides in Las Vegas where he is married with one daughter. Jett
began playing poker and making a living at it when he was 18 years old
then began working as a poker dealer on an Indian reservation in
Arizona. Jett began traveling to Las Vegas as soon as he turned 21 and
eventually gave up cash games to focus on tournaments in 2000. Today
Chip Jett plays in an astonishing 300 or so tournaments a year and
hopes to make enough one day to be able to relax on a beach most of the
year and only play in a dozen or so tournaments a year. Chip's wife,
Karina Jett, also happens to be a successful poker player.
Chip
Jett has accumulated over $1.2 million in career tournament winnings.
Some of Chip Jett's accomplishments in tournament poker include: 1st
place in The Fourth Annual Jack Binion World Poker Open (2003) worth
$129,589, 1st place in the California State Poker Championship (2003)
worth $214,700, and 4th place in the 2003 WPT Legends of Poker Main
Event taking home $100,425. Chip Jett was named the Best All-Around
Player at the 2001 L.A. Poker Classic and took 1st place in the 2003
L.A. Poker Classic H.O.E. event establishing himself as a well-rounded
player capable of making a final table in any variation of poker.
Recently Jett took third place in the 2005 WSOP Seven Card Stud event
collecting $99,265.
