Cyndy Violette was born in Queens, New York and moved to Las Vegas with
her family when she was 12 years old. Cyndy learned the game of poker
by playing at home with her uncle and eventually played in a live
casino when she was pregnant with her first daughter. Cyndy Violette is
now well known as one of the best high limit 7 card stud players in the
world and one of the top all around female players in poker today.
Cyndy moved back to the east coast in 1994 and still plays regularly in
Atlantic City cash games, returning to Vegas each year for the WSOP.
Cyndy Violette has career winnings in tournament poker totaling more than
$600,000 with one WSOP bracelet. Cyndy's first major tournament win
came in the mid 1980's when she won a 7 Card Stud event at the Golden
Nugget worth $74,000. At the time this was the most money ever won by a
woman in tournament poker. Since then Cyndy has collected over $500,000
from the WSOP alone along with a coveted gold bracelet in the 2004
Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo event. Recently, Cyndy had an excellent showing
at the 2005 WSOP with 3 final table appearances and a 2nd place finish
in the $2,000 No Limit Hold 'em event worth $295,970 in prize money.
