Daniel Negreanu was born in Toronto, Canada on July 26th, 1974. Daniel
now lives in Las Vegas, Nevada with his mother. You will always see
Daniel eating well at the tournaments, his mother won't let him leave
the house with out plenty of home cooked food for the day. Don't let
this "mama's boy" image fool you, Daniel is probably the hottest
tournament player in the world right now and one of the most respected.
Daniel's
achievements include: Won WSOP Pot Limit Hold 'em event at age 23, his
first ever WSOP event, six money-finishes in various events of the 2004
WSOP, and 2004 CardPlayer player-of-the-year title. He won 12 major
tournaments from 1997 - 1999, more wins than any other player at the
time. More recently, Daniel won the 2004 Five Diamond World Poker
Classic, taking home over 1.7 million. Daniel's reported winnings for
2004 alone totaled $4,420,221.
