Hasan Habib

Hasan Habib was born in Karachi, Pakistan in 1962 and moved to the U.S. in 1980. Habib went to school at the University of Redlands and eventually owned a chain of video stores here in America. Habib focused on cash games initially in his poker career but was influenced by some of his friends to play tournaments in the late 90's. Thanks to the advise of his friends, Habib entered his first tournament and took first place, and returned the next week to the same tournament and won again. Unfortunately, Habib didn't win another tournament for about two years after that, but has more than made up for it with his recent hot streak.
Hasan Habib took 4th place in the WSOP No Limit Championship Event in 2000 collecting about $326,000. More recently, Habib has had about 20 money finishes in the past two years including: 2nd place in the 2004 Bellagio Five-Star World Poker Classic worth over $1.3 million, Gold Bracelet win in the 2004 WSOP Seven Card Stud High/Lo Split event, 2nd place in the Festa al Lago II tournament in July 2004 worth $328,738, and 3rd place in the WPT Third Annual Five-Star World Poker Classic in April of '05 collecting $896,375. Habib shows no signs of slowing down, watch for him at the final tables for years to come.
