Jeff Shulman

Jeff Shulman was born in Seattle, Washington in 1975 and now lives in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jeff start playing poker around age thirteen at his summer camp where he used to profit about 5 bucks a day. Since then, Jeff Shulman has experienced multiple paydays in five figures, no question in part due to the fact that his father, Barry Shulman is also a professional poker player. Jeff now runs the everyday operations of Cardplayer magazine, which his father bought out five years ago. Jeff and his dad have built Cardplayer up to be one of the best resources of poker articles and information in publication today. During his down time, Jeff finds the opportunity to sneak away and win some poker tournaments every now and then.

Jeff Shulman has acquired over 700,000 in tournament poker winnings - some of his achievements include: 7th place in the 2000 WSOP No Limit Hold 'em Championship (his first ever WSOP) worth $146,700, 2nd place in the 2001 Four Queens Poker Classic No Limit Hold 'em event, 1st place in the 2003 L.A. Poker Classic No Limit Hold 'em event collecting $83,990, and 12th place in the $25,000 buy-in WPT Third Annual Five-Star World Poker Classic taking home $94,355. Jeff Shulman had a strong showing at the 2005 WSOP with 4 cashes including a 7th place finish in the $5,000 Limit Hold 'em event worth $50,570 in prize money. Jeff's nickname at the tables is "Happy", and as long as the tournament wins keep coming, the name will no doubt remain appropriate.
