Kathy Liebert was born on October 1st, 1967 in Nashville Tennessee and
now lives in Las Vegas, Nevada. Liebert grew up in Poughkeepsie, New
York and graduated Marist College with a degree in business. Kathy went
on to work for Dunn & Bradstreet and built her poker bankroll while
she was there by investing in the stock market. Eventually, in 1991
Kathy moved to Colorado and started playing poker full-time in Central
City and Black Hawk. In 1994, Kathy entered her first tournament at the
Gold Coast Casino in Las Vegas and chopped for first place. Kathy's
success didn't end there - as she went on to accumulate around $2
million in career tournament winnings.
Kathy Liebert is one of
the top women money earners in the history of tournament poker. Some of
Kathy's accomplishments include: 1st place in the 2002 Party Poker
Million Limit Hold 'em event collecting an even $1,000,000, 2nd place
in the 2003 WSOP $1,500 Limit Hold 'em event worth $91,700, and 1st
place in the 2004 WSOP Limit Hold 'em Shootout event worth $110,180 and
a gold bracelet. Recently, Liebert made an attempt at repeating her
2004 victory in the 2005 WSOP Limit Hold 'em Shootout event where she
outlasted 441 entrants to make the final table, but ended up finishing
a respectable 7th place and taking home $24,840. Kathy's
professionalism and determination tell you the instant you sit at the
table with her, that this former executive is all business - and
business has been good.
