Pascal Perrault was born in Paris, France in 1959 and now splits up his
time between living in Brazil and Paris. Pascal is the father of no
less than five children with a son that wants to follow in Dad's
footsteps of working as a pharmacist - just so he can make enough money
to play poker. Pascal took up tournament poker as a hobby and prefers
tournaments to cash games. Perrault continues to work as a pharmacist
and suggests to new players to maintain some steady income while they
play to avoid not being able to go back to your job in case things
swing downward in poker. Things have remained mostly on the upswing for
Pascal with career tournament earnings around 900,000.
Pascal
Perrault employs some far out psychological methods in his approach to
poker, namely, extra sensory perception. Pascal claims that at times he
can "feel" if a good hand will loose or a bad hand will win and
believes the actions of the mind can have an influence on chance. Well,
however crazy it sounds, it seems to be working for Pascal so far -
some of his achievements in tournament poker include: 1st place in the
2001 British Open No Limit Hold 'em event worth $81,935, 1st place in
the 2002 European Poker Classics good for $30,086, and 1st place in the
2005 EPT Vienna Spring Poker Festival Main Event worth $244,296.
Recently, Pascal made a final table at the 2005 WSOP in the $1,000 No
Limit Hold 'em event taking 7th place and collecting $88,070 in prize
money. Pascal's claims he might stop playing poker if he wins the WSOP
Main Event, so until then look for him to be using his E.S.P. in many
tournaments to come.
