Paul Phillips is one of pokers more "colorful" players. He can show up to the table with blonde hair, red hair, no hair, bare feet showcasing a painted toenail or two, shorts and a t-shirt, or a designer suit. When Paul's not vocalizing at the table, he can be found expressing his opinions regularly in the game's most popular message boards. Paul's eccentric nature and strong opinions have earned him a "mixed" following by poker fans who either love him or hate him - which ever side you're on, his achievements in tournament poker are undeniable.
Some of Paul's tournament achievements include: Second place in the 2003 Legends of Poker WPT Event worth $293,550. Paul took first place in the 2003 Bellagio Five-Diamond World Poker Classic collecting $1,101,908 making him at that time the WPT's all-time money leader. Paul's more recent success includes a string of money finishes in April and May of 2004 at the WSOP taking 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 14th in various events totaling roughly $264,300 in prize money. Update! Paul and his lovely wife, Kathleen, are now the proud parents of a baby girl named Ivy! Congratulations, Paul! (We've been told that the rumors about Ivy being named after Phil Ivey as the result of a lost prop bet are untrue...)
