Phil Hellmuth was born in Madison, Wisconsin on July 16, 1964. Phil
currently lives in Palo Alto, California with his wife and two boys.
Phil is known to some in the poker world as the "brat" of poker. He can
flip out and have a tantrum at any moment if things go badly. Phil
specializes in tournament poker and has done exceptionally well in this
area. Phil has achieved a great deal for his age and may be well on his
way to achieving his goal of being the best poker player of all time.
Phil's
poker achievements include: Nine WSOP bracelets, the first obtained at
age 24 for the 1989 WSOP championship. Phil has had 17 final table
appearances at the WSOP. Phil has had 5 WPT top ten finishes. He ranks
number one in Hall of Fame tournament wins. Phil has over 20
international poker titles. Author of the best selling poker book "Play Poker Like the Pros".
