Ram "Crazy Horse" Vaswani was born in 1970 and is the youngest member
of England's "Hendon Mob" - a group of players composed of Barney
Boatman, Ross Boatman, Joe Beevers, and Vaswani himself. These four
players travel the tournament circuit under sponsorship and have made a
name for themselves in Europe and America. Ram is the youngest member
of the group, born in 1970, but he's the most successful - having
accumulated over $1.6 million in tournament winnings. There's not much
to observe when watching Ram Vaswani play poker, the guy is absolutely
stoic with one of the best poker faces in the game - at times you
wonder if he's even breathing. Ram maintains an edge over the
competition by staying fit and training before major tournaments to
increase his stamina for long multi-day events.
The Crazy Horse
has achieved quite a bit in his relatively short career as a pro poker
player. Some of Ram's major achievements in tournament poker include:
1st place in the 1999 Master Classics of Poker worth $130,934, 1st
place in the 2002 Euro Finals of Poker European Hold 'em Championship
taking home $92,232, and 2nd place in the Victor Poker Cup Grand Final
collecting $231,413 in prize money. Recently, Ram Vaswani took 3rd
place in the Third Annual Five-Star World Poker Classic No Limit Hold
'em event cashing in $101,230. Ram and the boys have one of the best
poker sites on the web, with an extensive database of player statistics
and tournament results - check it out at www.thehendonmob.com.
