Ted Forrest was born in Syracuse, New York in 1964 and now lives in Las
Vegas, Nevada. Ted Forrest began playing poker in his early 20's and
played his first tournament in 1992. Forrest is the kind of guy you saw
on Friday night in the poker room who was still there on Sunday. Ted
moved to Vegas with $100 and worked that bankroll up to everything he
has today. Ted is known for the ability to play any hand at any time
against his opponents - something that's worked well for him, earning 5
WSOP gold bracelets in various events during his career.
Some of
Ted Forrest's achievements in tournament poker include: 5th place in
the 2003 Bellagio Five-Star World Poker Classic WPT Championship worth
$119,990, 4th place in the 2005 WPT L.A. Poker classic worth $263,487,
and 2nd place in the 2005 WPT Mirage Poker Showdown worth $579,386.
Ted's first place finishes in the WSOP came in Seven Card Stud (2004),
No-limit Hold 'em (2004), Seven Card Stud (1993), Seven Card Razz
(1993), and Omaha 8/OB (1993). After leaving the tournament world for a
few years, Ted Forrest made a return to tournament poker when he saw
the increase in entry fields and payouts - a smart career move, with
his winnings in 2005 already surpassing 1.1 million.
