Tom McEvoy was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and now lives in Las
Vegas Nevada. Now here's a guy who fully committed to pursuing poker
professionally in 1979, with a wife and three children, Tom McEvoy
quite his job and moved to Las Vegas to start playing poker full-time.
Tom must have known something that day, because four years later he won
the WSOP Main Event, and hasn't looked back since. Tom McEvoy still
plays poker full-time and has written several poker books as well. Tom
insists that poker is "the hardest way to make an easy living" which
means he's definitely working hard, with career earnings around $1.6
million and 4 WSOP bracelets to his name.

'em Championship (1983), Seven-Card Razz (1986), and Omaha Limit

2nd place in the 1997 WSOP Pot Limit Hold 'em event worth $102,000, 4th
place in the 2002 L.A. Poker Classic No Limit Hold 'em event good for
$60,000, and 1st place in the 2005 PPT Bay 101 Shooting Stars of Poker
No Limit Hold 'em event taking home $225,000 in prize money. Tom loves
traveling the world to play in tournaments, but claims his favorite
place to play is at home on his computer.
